Collection: Sophie Dussidour
Sophie Dussidour's work falls somewhere between monotypes and etched paintings. She uses a wide variety of materials for her prints, including cardboard, rhinestone, string, metal and fabric. Objects and plants are also used as imprints after inking and printing.
Her current work reinterprets Dante's “Divine Comedy”, in a dreamlike world populated by images that form a bridge with the poet's words.
Sophie Dussidour moves freely between Dante's three places: Hell, Purgatory and Paradise, as her imagination takes her. From this poetic journey are born these printed drawings, some thirty to date.
