Collection: Hélène Bascoul
Born in Nancy in July 1969, Hélène Bascoul spent 27 years in Paris, where she studied literature and art at the Sorbonne, and has lived and worked in Brest since 2006.
Hélène has set up art workshops for a wide range of audiences, offering printmaking as a medium (prisons, migrant hostel, structures for disabled...), while continuing her training at EESAB in Brest.
She uses engraving in conjunction with her work in writing, photography, poetry and painting. Her everyday themes include dreams and the unconscious, and her work focuses on intimacy, feelings and emotions.
Hélène Bascoul was awarded the Taylor Foundation printmaking prize for the Salon d'Automne 2024.
